[REQUEST] sp56606 NWL for HP DM1-4131ef
#1
Hi, i've just change my wifi card from the broadcom one to an athreos one : ATH-AR5BHB112
but with whitelist, i can't boot.

The bios internal name is :
03387F15.bin so it's probably RSA signed. I'm ok with that, i will try all i can do to make it work cause broadcom wifi and linux wont work well.

If there are other unlock (menu for exemple) i'm interested by them but it's not my priority.

Here are the orignial bios file :
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp56501-57000/sp56606.exe

If there is specific install step for RSA signed bios, could-you like me the HowTo thread ?
Regards,
GammaNu

PS : it look to be the same bios than here :
http://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-DM...OCK-PLEASE
but not the same computer model. If it's the same work for you, you can delete my post or move it to the other thread.

some news, i've try these :
sp54926.exe from HP flash work but with whitelist
sp54926_NWL_ByCamiloml.exe from this site, flash look ok until reboot : error 500 and auto restore last bios
idem with :
sp55495.exe
sp55495_NWL_ByCamiloml.exe
for now i use this bios :
sp56606.exe but not modded at all.

I've use Universal BIOS Backup ToolKit 2.0.exe on it to get this file :
Insyde-F.15.rom
(you can download it here if it could help : http://dl.free.fr/pfJlHjPfe )
but i don't know how i can get bios.fd file like asked on this thread :
http://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-Ge...nsyde-BIOS

i've read about a backup partition delete on hard drive to make flash work ?! I don't understand why but if you confirm me it could be why my attemp to put a moded bios fail, i can wipe my hdd and retry (i actually use a clean ssd to boot undre linux, my main OS on this netbook, and the original HDD with original windows install unchanged to run sp*.exe filesfor flashing.

I've also see there is open source bios (SeaBIOS+CoreBoot) if it can work for my netbook i'm ok to try it if anyone can explain me how to.

Thank you for all help, i need it :p
GammaNu

An other thing : i've put 16Go DDR3 on my netbook but at least in bios only 8Go are seen (like writen in tech spec 2Go max 8Go) is there anything to do to be able to use the 16Go ? (i've not check everywhere if only 8Go are seen or if some system detect the 16Go installed)
