Just made upgrade to new BIOS ver.2.18 from http://consumersupport.lenovo.com/in/en/..._5923.html
Maybe now we can remove the whitelist?
Thx

extract the contents with from the 64bit version of the bios flash program and replace the PIWG2218 file with this one http://dl.dropbox.com/u/10601514/PIWG2218.bin
flash it, of course if it says it's the same and wont flash just edit the platform.ini and
flag it to ignore checking the bios version and such
goodluck

Please change the last bios (2.18) without the whitelist for Lenovo G570 - http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/download...D=DS018378
card that originally came with the laptop.: PCI ID: 14E4:4727
Is it possible to remove the WiFi whitelist from this BIOS?
Thanks

From my experience it seemed to be os edition specific, i had windows 7 64bit edition, regardless of what i did it just wouldn't open giving me a "could not load driver" error
so what i did was installed windows 7 32bit to confirm my theory,
but now with more experience this is what can be done which is far more easy.
i downloaded the 64bit version of the flash program from Lenovo,
then i extracted the contents from the 64 bit edition and camiloml's 32 bit edition using winrar and
then i placed the "PIWG2209" firmware from "camiloml" and copied it in the folder for the 64bit version which managed to let me open it w/ little problems, it wouldn't let me flash saying i already had the same version and that it was up to date.
**note**the contents can be extracted using winrar
Next thanks to "camiloml" for his help, i had the edit the platform.ini file to force it to flash just like he said which lead to my successful flash
Thanks for these details Jairtzinio. Worked like a charm to flash on my 64bit win install.
