troubled toshiba satellite l300

this is an odd one!

will rack my brains on this and get back to you!

In the meantime , reset your DMI if you can , possibly restore you UUID etc and get the original one flashed again!

slic table has gone. after flashit with /all option.
I tried to phoenix crysis recovery to flash back slic table. because I thought flashit.exe can't update the slic table from bios.
I turned off power to brick bios flash when it is flashing. and recovered by phoenix crysis recovery.
http://www.theeldergeek.com/forum/lofive...38818.html
It is recovered from brick bios flash. but there isn't slic table, same as result flashit.exe with /all option.

I think it is common problem on toshiba laptop.
it might be dmi tool to enable slic table. but I can't find...

there are same situation as my case about the slic table problem. but there isnt solution yet... Exclamation

I have searched the problem in google.
I think some laptop has same problem with sn/pn/uuid is empty with slic table.
that means official bios itself have faulty to work on laptop.
Could you map slic table onto bios?

These instructions are for a Phoenix bios however. This is an Insyde BIOS and therefore the steps are different. However , i have tried a manual mod (As in manually cutting and pasting in the hex editor!). As a double check , the 2.0 marker that was in the original bios has been updated to 2.1 and the pubkey has been replaced with the 2.1 Toshiba SLIC.

Please try this at your own risk and post another screenshot from SLIC Dump Toolkit

I also found a previous mod of v1.50 for the Satellite L305 which uses the same bios as this. This one has HP 2.1 SLIC.

Hi, it doesn't different.
first one, it have iso image, so I burn cd and applied it as it is.
second one, I have already tried the HP 2.1 file from mydigitallife forums, but I tried it again. the result is same as the result of first one.
I'm attaching the screen shot and export acpi table from toolkit v3.2 after It applied the first one.

frustrated to find solution...

Sorry I can't go any further.
I flashed different model bios, it make it doesn't turn on.
I can't recovered it as my knowlege.
usb floppy driver or usb driver doesn't respond, only responds with cd/dvd rom.
I tried lots of cdroms with floppy boot image.
It fails.
might be need soldering or replace motherboard...
Thank for your help.

I just did a recovery on a l300-18D with an USB-Stick...
This stick wasn't actually even bootable!
it worked as shown here!!

Sometimes you just have to try to be sure it is not working...

Thanks advice.
I shouldn't go further as much as frustrated this laptop.
I bricked this laptop and recovered as above to make sure the slic table properly.
but after flashed different bios, it has different respond.
Toshiba l300-18D seems have same mine, bios PS10S150.fd
but the recovery method doesn't work on this case.
I think it is game over...
I ordered another motherboard.
if there is another news for this, I will post.
but I won't flashit with /all option on insyde bios....
