Modding Phoenix BIOS module TEMPLAT0.ROM
#1
Brick
Good afternoon everyone,
Could you please tell me whether is there a way to mod Phoenix bios module called TEMPLAT0.ROM in order to e.g. add a category or entry in BIOS Setup?
If so, which software should I use for it? Hex editor? Dis-assembler?
So far I've unpacked the BIOS WPH file in PhoenixTool, and I'm stuck on edit attempts of the TEMPLAT0.ROM file.
The Phoenix BIOS version is 61ET37WW - it's made for Lenovo 3000 N100 - an old laptop which I sometimes experiment on like that.
I'm a noob so I may sometimes ask for details that may be obvious for all of you.
Thanks for answers,
lucasio

Whatever, Let's say a column in which is written "I love pancakes". I'm experimenting at this stage, so it definitely won't be anything useful. Like I said, I'm a noob, just learning something new, practicing etc. Maybe in the future I'll try to add VT-x switch or something, but now I'm focusing on how do I even add things to the BIOS setup.

P.S. Sorry for that maybe I posted in a wrong category, but I'm asking about the way to do things like that on my own. (Would there be a point in putting my food preferences into BIOS Setup if it wasn't playing around with new skills?)

It's possible. Have you read this PDF before? It describes basic things.
