You cannot unless, you editing the configuration registers for the PLL IC. search for m17x-r2 extreme overclocking and register editing.

But if you have to, i recommend that you change your cpu because is probably faulty. M17X-R2 running fine with it donno y you so eager to disable HT

I have messed with modded bios before and i understand the risks but this was ridiculous, i used the phoenix phlash that came with your mod and backed up the original bios before performing the mod. the moded bios worked fine but then when reflashing back to the original with the backup it froze on part 13 of 70. ok its not the end of the world i hard reboot the laptop, amazingly its still running but its running slower, i figure lets try this again maybe something went wrong so i tried to reflash to the backup again, this time i perform the flash with the program and file on a usb drive because previously it was on the hdd and the hdd was stuck on thinking last time(it froze last time with hdd blinking). anyway so im flashing and it goes through the whole procedure gets to 70/70 ie 100% the says reboot in 10, 9 ,8, ... 2, 1, then starts to shut down.

however windows got stuck on the shut down screen, hard reboot again.

NOW THE SYSTEM DOESNT RESPOND TO POWER.
i have no clue where to go from here, tried clearing cmos, cmos battery drain, removing cmos batter, no battery only power, fn+screen change.

the system doesnt even power on, no lights no response.
i dont understand, the only think i can think of is phoenix winphlash allows you to backup can you cant restore the backup you create because its a different format.

ANYBODY any ideas???

2.Locate crisis.zip file and copy onto memory stick
3.Insert usb memory stick onto windows xp computer only. And extract contents of crisis.zip onto desktop.
4.There should be 7 files on the desktop, run wincris file (floppy disk icon).

TheWiz

I just had to get my power jack re-soldered to my motherboard.  I was having an error before saying that I was using a non' dell's power supply and I was hoping that this would fix the problem but it hasn't Angry  After spending $110 on the repair I'm being told that I need to replace my motherboard.  I think that is a bunch of bull Ship and I want to know if the bios can somehow be modded to get past the non dell's adapter warning and let my machine charge.  Any help?  Please???

Dear All,
I know this as been solved but from my side it is a total nightmare. I am not able to recover my BIOS after it got stuck during the update. I have tried everything and couldn't get the recovery. I will really appreciate your help.
