AsRock N68-S3 UCC
#1
Hello! I was wondering if AHCI could be enabled in this motherboard's bios (currently only ide and raid mode are available). Looked a bit with
AMI BCP, but i don't really have the knowledge for this kind of things...

The latest bios version is attached.

Thank you!

PS. Any other hidden option or stuff are welcomed too Smile

I guess the modders aren't around here anymore... that's a shame...

Looks like yes is the answer. But the mod might kill the board, I'll check on a couple of AsRock N68 series when I get my SSD (I hope tomorrow) or a HDD.

With Antinomy permission i will highjack the thread and post 2 rom versions to test if you want. I don't think any of this mods i upload will brick your board so are quite safe to test if you want. Mods are so light.

Included are 2 .rom files, one called n68s3u1_ahci.50.rom and other n68s3u1_ahci2.50.rom.

I would start flashing the "ahci" one, under sata config mode should appear "Ide" "Raid" & "Native mode" choose native to see if ahci is enabled.

If that is not working then flash the "ahci2" and repeat the operation in sata config.

Hope Antinomy you don't mind Wink

I'll check your mod. I assume it was a simple labeling mod. If the case is that simple, it should work without glitches.

Yes, is that simple, i removed the help string from the item to make room for one more choice.

Hi,

I'm trying to use these BIOSes, but I have problem: I don't know how to flash them. I tried various programs from Afudos.exe, Bupdater.exe, Flash.exe, really anything that I could find, but none of those programs allowed me to upgrade bios on this board. I am puzzled, what program do you suggest I should use?

Download original bios update from manufacturer site and use it to flash moded bios instead.

Ah, never thought of that. Ok, I downloaded the file, but now it says:
Error: ROM file size incorrect

Is there any switch to ignore this mismatch?
