Thank You,
I tried it, but it doesn't work. The bios boot screen is correct (the processor type is good) but the memory speed is 400 (instead of 667). After the ide and sata device list the io led flash twice (a short and a longer), but the screen black and the Win7 boot menu doesn't show. I entered in the bios setup and loaded defaults, set the correct voltage in manual mode, but this wasn't enough.
After this I reloaded the original Asus bios with the EzFlash tool and the cpu works again, the boot is correct.

OK, a bit confused here. Is the proccessor now recognized or no, because you keep saying the boot is correct?

The processor is recognized with your bios, but didn't boot correctly. I replaced with original bios -> processor is unknown but boot is correct.
PS: My english is very poor, sorry.

Thank you for effort, but I have bad news.
The first didn't work. (CPU unknown)
The second: CPU name is OK, but installed memory was 0 byte (by bios information) and after the boot the WinXP shows 128k memory.

Besides incorrect memory display, did all the things work correctly inside the OS.

The XP boot was extremely slow with a lot of winchester usage. it was more than 15 minutes from boot menu to login screen.

Hello, i'm new here, so please bear with me if i say something stupid
Anyways, i would like support for my newly purchased Phenom II X6 1090T on my ASUS M2N-E AM2 board.
Got no idea how to get a direct link to the BIOS update to go from, but here's a link for the page that has the download,
http://www.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=NFlvt10av3F7ayQ9
also, i would choose the 5001 update, but i don't know if it's better to go with 1703 as it's not beta and might be more stable.
I don't know which AM2/AM2+ motherboard supports Phenom II X6 125W CPUs, so currently i can't give a link to that.
I hope you can help me out here.
Thanks for your time.

Hi Drakeon,
Please check out our Project ASUS AM3 ready page, where you can see all of these boards are worked on. It would help us greatly to know what kind of symptoms you get with the 5001 BIOS after inserting the six core CPU.
Thanks,

Sorry for not replying, but i bought a ASUS M4A89TD PRO/USB3 now, so the M2N-E is now a backup motherboard, sorry for wasting your time.
