Asus P8H61-M PRO & Xeon E3-1245 v2
#1
Hello,

Can I please ask for your help to add the microcode for Xeon E3 1245 V2 to the bios of Asus P8H61-m pro. My son built a NAS and unfortunately the Xeon cpu we bought seems to be not supported by the default bios.

Current CPU: I5 2500

Future CPU: Xeon E3-1245v2

Link to the original bios: https://www.asus.com/supportonly/p8h61m_...desk_bios/

When I turn on my computer with xeon e3 1245v2, all the fans turn on, but there is no image and the keyboard and mouse do not turn on, but everything works with the old i5 2500

I attached a screenshot from CPU-Z to a previous post.
I should note that the motherboard supports Xeon e3 1245v2, I currently have BIOS version 4602 installed. Before that, version 4802 was installed, but it didn't help, and version 0219 was originally installed.

1. Download ME 8 1.5MB v8.1.70.1590.rar, extract 8.1.70.1590_1.5MB_PRD_RGN.bin and rename it to me.bin
2. Go to Intel ME System Tools 8\FWUpdate\Local-Win64\ and copy me.bin there.
3. Run in command line with administrative rights, save and post results:
FWUpdLcl64 -f me.bin
4. Don't reboot but power off your system and disconnect power cord for few minutes.
5. Boot and make in BIOS Load Defaults, save and exit.
6. Try to install your new CPU.

I did everything, it didn't help, the keyboard, mouse and monitor don't work, the fans on the graphics card are not spinning

Make new results of MEInfo with supported CPU.

Do I need to run MEInfo in the MEInfo/DOS folder or run MEInfoWin in the MEInfo/windows folder?
