HP 430 B0M03PA / SLIC / No Whitelist / ADV
#1
Hello HP 430 Users.
I spent many times about 3 years for no whitelist and advance tap in insyde bios.
finally, i got it  Big Grin
i acheive my dream by BDMaster and Donovan6000.

first, i check his blog's Insyde BIOS Modding: WIFI and WWAN Whitelists

http://donovan6000.blogspot.kr/2013/06/i...lists.html

i spent time to obtain mod bios info and deal with tools.

after spent times, i tried to flash f.38 modded by myself, but my laptop is brick. because f.38 have RSA.
if you have a brick laptop, you try to unzip F.38 firmware, and try to use Andy's phoenixtool259, open 03672.fd,
so you can see 03672.fd.dec and RSA.sig. you have to change file name 03672.fd.dec to 03672.BIN and RSA.sig to 03672.sig.
next download HP BIOS UPDATE UEFI TOOL
http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/publi...ob_92987_3&swEnvOid=4058
prepare your USB, an format FAT32 with named HP_TOOLS. then you implement UEFI TOOL, then you select USB Recovery in setup.
then place 03672.BIN and 03672.sig files to Hewlett-Packard/BIOS/Current. shutdown with plug in power, and plug usb made by you,
push win key + b, and turn on laptop, keep holding on win key + b. you have to wait before UEFI recovery screen.
HP 430 bios's latest version is F.39, but it can't open on Andy's phoenixtool259.
my brain is limited insyde bios mod. so i contacted BDMaster. he have many bios knowledge.
he help me many test through private message.
we needed to mod iscflash.dll and 03672.fd. also had to check RSA existence.
BDMaster tell me my laptop bios info blow

These are all modifies to HP 430 :

HP 430-B0M03PA

Version Date Size SoftPaq
F.39 12-2013 8.20MB sp64612.exe RSA
F.38 03-2013 8.20MB sp60723.exe RSA

F.24 10-2011 8.20MB sp54776.exe RSA

F.22 08-2011 8.20MB sp54181.exe RSA
F.19 07-2011 8.50MB sp53673.exe we can mod bios
F.18 06-2011 8.50MB sp53593.exe we can mod bios
F.17 06-2011 8.50MB sp53383.exe we can mod bios
F.16 05-2011 8.50MB sp53108.exe we can mod bios
F.02 03-2011 8.50MB sp52301.exe we can mod bios

BDMaster sent me mod f.19 file. but sp53673 firmware can't downgrade bios. not support downgrade in insyde flashtool.
so i tried to use sp60723.exe insyde flash tool file. i copied to 03672.fd(mod f.19) in sp60723's unzip folder. also mod iscflash.dll too.
finally i can flash mod f.19. Smile

until now, this is my bios mod history.

Can You explain which operation You make as It is ease just unpack the
rar file open the folder created and run as Admin the InsydeFlash.exe tool !
Nonta saw that all Bioses F.38 and F.19 have same iscflash.dll so take that one
from F.19 Modded Bios and replace into F.19 and do the same with 03672.fd
(mod f.19) getting this sp60723 hybrid to bypass the error !
He repacked but only for his Platform 03672.fd so may be You have different one !
Use this one to Downgrade and flash Bios Mod F.19 :

Hi BD Master.
I run the InsydeFlash.exe in the extracted archive of sherlocks (F.19 Mod) and got that error: ROM file not found.
My computer is a HP 630, is that the problem ? The latest BIOS file of my PC matches the latest one of the HP 430 (SP64612). And all other Bios files too. Here's link to the F.19 original Bios for HP 630 http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/publi...ob_96255_2
So can I safely flash the file on my laptop ?
Thank you.

Hi, My BIOS is F.33, I heard that this version is RSA Signed and so can't be modded! Should I still upload the backup ?
PS: I want to just remove the Wi-Fi Whitelist (it's locked with an Atheros AR5B195) and to enable UEFI Boot Mode if possible cause it doesn't have UEFI Mode.

Edit:
I found a way to flash the BIOS.
But InsydeFlash.exe says that the ROM file is not for my Notebook PC. Sad
Can you Mod one of my Bios (F.16 to F.23) ?
Thanks!
