HP ProLiant DL360 G5 & Xeon X5460

Im trying to start some small, free, Linux training classes where I live. I need a server for esxi that I can run several VM's on. I bought an HP proliant dl360g5 with a single dual core. I purchased 2 quad core X5460 3.16GHZ and installed them. I did my research and the board numbers would indicate that they would work. But I get the incompatible error. I need to know if I can force or mod the bios to accept these cpu's? I am on a very limited budget , hence the 360g5, otherwise I would have bought something more modern.
