I am trying to unlock the BIOS on my own. Someone please help!
#1
Hi,

After weeks of waiting and no reply, i decided to take this task of unlocking the BIOS on my own. I have this ASUS X53SC Laptop for which i need the BIOS to get unlocked.

I managed to get the latest BIOS by using AFUWIN command. Then fortunately i got to know about AMIBCP which allows you to enable/disable BIOS options.

So far i have tried all i could, but still when i go in the BIOS, i don't see any of those unlocked options and i simply don't know why. If i try to extract the current BIOS again, i can see that i changes i did using AMIBCP have been written into the BIOS.

So what is preventing those options to appear in the BIOS screen?

Atleast i will request the moderators/experts/admins to please please please help me this time!

How did you try to unlock them?
Did you try changing the access/use to user?
Because that doesn't work for this reason:

What you can try for now is to hardcode the values into your bios, I think the only thing that would work is to change the ram frequency and/or enable XMP profiles.

Now if you combine that with the use of thaiphoon burner, you should get some really good results.

I overclocked my stock 1333mhz ram to 1600mhz with an XMP profile. Might even try 1866mhz next.
