#1
For some reason when i change the jumper settings for the fsb on my motherboard, from 166mhz to 200mhz my computer turns on but the screen doesnt, although the jumper settings for, 100, 133 and 166mhz work fine, i tried changing the settings in my bios, i can see what i have to changed but it seems to be locked my computer was origonaly a packard bell, my cpu is 2,2ghz and i the motherboard is a MSI 6786 and bios is - pheniox Award, any help is appreciated

MotherBoard Specs: http://support.packardbell.com/uk/item/i...ec_quasar2

Im confused here

The settings are not locked , as they are available and changeable

You already have overclocking functionality , we cannot help you any further here

The 166mhz-200mhz is probably too much for either the motherboard or the chip itself, thats why you dont get a picture.

166mhz seems to be the overclocking limit for your system

i dont get it! there is a jumper setting on the motherboard for 200MHz and the cpu came with the motherboard from packard bell. even if it cant be done that way is there a way to unlock my bios so i dont have to jump it strait to 200MHZ?

No Sorry , maybe the board can handle 200mhz fsb but the cpu cant , or vice versa

Sorry
