Hello, I'd like to ask for help to unlock my computer BIOS Advanced settings.

Laptop: Acer Aspire ES1-512
BIOS version: Insyde Corp. V1.09

Link to the Acer BIOS dl: http://global-download.acer.com/GDFiles/...SC=EMEA_27

These apps don't work for me for some reason. The one with CMD window just closes and the other says "Can not identify the BIOS":

1. Download latest version of you BIOS

2. Flash new BIOS

3. Take USB stick and format to FAT32

4. Create directory structure EFI\Boot

5. Download BOOTX64.EFI

6. Put downloaded file to Boot directory.

7. Restart and enter BIOS setup.

8. Make sure you have following values:

Legacy Support: Disable

Secure Boot: Disable

9. Reboot and press F9 to boot from USB stick

10. Give commands:

setup_var 0x258 0x01

11. Reboot and you Windows should find Advanced Page

12. REPORT RESULT HERE

13. Enjoy.

What do you mean by flash new bios? Do you mean install the newest update? The BIOS download from the official site says that I have the latest version.
In the BIOS I don't have a Legacy Support option but I did disable Secure Boot. When I got to the booting part all I got was a black screen and no command prompt window for the command to be entered in. What could be the problem here?

Could it be that my BIOS is different from the one on the Acer page? The version shows up as the same but dates of release differ. I can't update it, tho.
