[REQUEST] Acer Switch 10 SW5-012 BIOS Unlock
#11
Ok so I have recompiled the tool in the previous reply and it will now work with the switch 10's IA32 EFI please use this at your own risk I have tryed it yet just need to access a computer with .NET 3.5 to get the varstore extracted from the bios! so far good progress and this is the only bootia32 version of grub with the setup_var embedded into it on the web so hopefully it work's but I had no error's compiling so it definatly should just do not modify the wrong var's or it could cause you to have to buy a bus pirate to recover it and that requires you to hook on to the SPI chip manually! I will try it tonight if I can get the vars extracted or if someone else can that would be grate and I will try It im not to worryed about bricking atm Tongue (Y)!!

I can confirm booting with my recompiled grub works turned on legacy mode with "setup_var 0x79 0x1" but it resort's back to normal after a reboot or 2 also i cannot seem to find legacy device I think what we need is a way to enable the advanced menu tryed "setup_var 0x150 0x1" but apparently it is already set to one Tongue so any help to keep the legacy permanent would be great but the GRUB works for sure!

0x1BC96 End of Options {29 02}

This may be useful to not sure what all it enable's but x86 android already run's just no sensor support and such mabye it's a built in kernel!

Oh that makes sense, yeah I tried the first setup variables that you posted and received it definitely appeared to be in legacy, however it didn't recognize any EFIs and returned me to a screen that said No Operating System Found, I had to do a hard reset and it went back to default. I'll look more... Thanks for all your hard work!
