[REQUEST] ECS P6S5AT (SiS 635T) BIOS Modification
#11
So, the system works.
In Bios there is no way to set 166 MHz FSB.
The max setting is 133/133 for FSB/Mem.
If I change the FSB with CPUFSB ind windows, the system hangs.

Edit:
I have try to change the bits in cmos.
Now, in bios i see under cpu setting 166/166. But it will not boot.
Then i change from 166/166 and the max setting is 133/133 in bios again. Very strange.
What do you modificate, if you mod the bios to 166/166 at default?

is your RAM able to run stable on 333???
I had the problem on the legendary ECS K7S5A that my RAM wasn't able to run higher than 266!

Sometimes you just have to try to be sure it is not working...

I am back in here as I promised! Big Grin So tell me your needs!

Yes, the Ram is Crucial DDR400 with Timings 2-2-2-6 ;-). It can run more than 266 MHz.

The board can run with 138/138 MHz, if change bits in "CMOS Info" for FSB.
This value you can see then in bios. If I change the FSB with CPUFSB or CPU Cool to 138 MHz, the pc hangs.
FSB 150 MHz are also possible, but it doesn't work.
At 150 MHz FSB is the PCI-divider of 5, which results to 30 MHz PCI-clock. It's to little. The next step is 166 MHz with pci-clock of 33 MHz ;-). But with cmos modification doesn't work.

Edit: I can't change HOST Frequency and DRAM Frequency in CPU PnP Setup Page. The only thing which i can change is CPU/DRAM Base Frequency and CPU Multiple Factory.

Hello! I have this ECS P6S5AT motherboard. It is one of the fastest single socket 370 boards but it has very poor BIOS. I need someone to add the following options:

CPU:
- enable overclocking in BIOS:
= 138/138
= 100/150
= 150/150
= 166/166
= 200/200???

RAM:
- set the tRAS to 5

AGP:
- unlock some AGP features.

But the main request is to make this motherboard work properly with TUALATINS at 166 FSB.
The thing is that it works correctly with COPPERMINES only at 166MHz, with tualatins it is very unstable (cache problem?)

Please help!

I attach the latest official BIOS.

Hello!

I am still looking for somebody who will be willing to make some BIOS MODS for this ECS P6S5AT!

I have managed to make this mobo run at 166 FSB with a Tualatin CPU:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L2K43KxSHsI

I can provide this mobo (rev 1.5) for FREE to anybody who agrees to make those MODS!
