Thanks BD,
Was out of town...
When I try to update with that bios, i get this message:
"The version of ROM file isn't newer than that of BIOS."  Any way around that?
Thanks,
Bobby

Open Platform.ini file and edit this :

[Bios_Version_Check]
Flag=2
;This flag is the switch of checking BIOS version.
;Flag default : 2.
; 0 : Don't check rom file version.
; 1 : Check BIOS version.
; When rom file version is older then BIOS, it will display
; a warning message and close application.
; 2 : Depend on BIOS report.

So Flag=2 has to became Flag=0 then save and try again !

Ok, thanks BD
tried that, Insyde ran, but when pc powered down it came back up with no screen and caps lock key blinking.  I guess I need to do a BIOS recovery now....

Ok, recovered to original BIOS F01, but still can't load the above mentioned bios; get a "Can't open sig file" error.  Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Bobby

OK,
I the laptop bricked again...  the first time i un-bricked it using this method:
http://donovan6000.blogspot.it/2013/06/i...overy.html

However, it isnt working this time.  The usb drive blinks like it is reading, but then the caps lock just goes back to blinking twice.  Nothing comes up on the display.
Any help would be appreciated.
