[REQUEST] Lenovo X1 Carbon 2016 20FC/20FB Advanced Tab Unlock
#1
Hi all,

For Hackintosh purposes i'd like to unlock the Advanced Settings Tab for my Bios.

For the ThinkPad T450s the unlock was done by modifying SystemFormBrowserCoreDxe (32442D09-1D11-4E27-8AAB-90FE6ACB0489). (https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-U...50s-Unlock)

I diffed the change they did and the Pattern for uefipatch would be:
32442D09-1D11-4E27-8AAB-90FE6ACB0489 10 P:04320B483CC2E14ABB16A73FADDA475F:778B1D826D24964E8E103467D56AB1BA

Since my SystemFormBrowserCoreDxe has another size and the Pattern is at another offset i am not sure that this Patch will work. I looked at it with ODA but i don't understand much Assembler.... and i want to be sure before messing around with the SPI Programmer.

Maybe someone with more knowledge could have a look at it.

The zip i attached contains:
  • the complete uefi image from the latest lenovo update,
  • the original and the patched version of SystemFormBrowserCoreDxe from the T450 Thread,
  • the original and the patched version of SystemFormBrowserCoreDxe from the X1 BIOS,
  • setup IFRExtract,
  • patches.txt for uefiPatch

Thanks in advance if anyone has the time to look over it.

PS: Is it true that i will have to disable TPM after modifying the Bios because of checksum?

Hi
Do not look for analogies between these two laptops...Lenovo X1 Carbon 2016 20FC/20FB is the new generation in the ThinkPad lineup...
new generation Phoenix BIOS, new TPM chip...bios cannot be modified in any way

P.S. the patch is not quite correct, but it doesn't matter
