[REQUEST] unlocked Bios for Acer ao522 c-50
#1
Hey,

at first i want to excuse me for my bad english.

I bought a Acer Aspire one one year ago and now i want to increase my video memory because i upgraded my Ram to 4GB. Is there a Bio which have a option to increase the Video memory?

I often listened that i can upgrade the c-50 APU to the c-60 APU with higher clocked CPU & GPU. I flashed my Bios with the newest version of my Bios from Acer (actually 1.12). Now i want to ask if there a possibility to "update" my c-50 to an c-60?

My Netbook:

Acer Aspire One 522
Model: JE10-BZ (CPU-z says that)
Chipset: AMD A40/A50 Series FCH Rev.00
Southbridge: AMD A40/A50 Series FCH Rev.40
Bios: InsydeH20 Rev. 3.5

The most important thing for me is that i can change the shared memory of my little APU and maybe the upgrade from the c-50 to the c-60.

I found an old topic CLICK but i can't download the modded Bios. Can anyone help me? Smile

In the Attachment is the Bios file which i am using atm.

I hope anyone can help me Smile

Attached Files
.zip   BIOS_Acer_1.12_A_A.zip (Size: 3.74 MB / Downloads: 18)

I would also like a copy of the previously unlocked bios for the ao522. The links are all down in the previous closed thread here. Thanks to anyone who can help.

Those bios were kinda weird to mod. They had a password preventing the extraction of the installer and rom, and they had a rom verification check similar to what HP's RSA bios use. Never seen Acer bios go to such an extent to protect their bios.

Plus they show that version 1.11 was released after 1.12. I just modded 1.12.

Anyway, here you go. Since this mod was unconventional, don't proceed with flashing the rom unless InsydeFlash.exe successfully detects the version of the modded rom.

And if you want to donate, then I'd be very grateful Big Grin
