1.1 Basic information about my problems

What i'm trying to achieve:
External GPU + Internal GPU at the same time.
((My external GPU is connected via the mini pci-e slot))

What's wrong:
When i boot with the External GPU, the internal GPU and internal screen get's disabled. Only external gpu and screen is detected.

What I want:
External GPU & External Screen working at the same time as the Internal GPU and Internal Screen, bios seems to ignore the EFI variables, somehow. + Unlock the bios with hidden menus (if possible.) Mostly preferred the video settings/menu.

1.2 What i have tried
I have tried to edit the UEFI variables by using the EFI Shell and manually extracting the IFR file from the bios to get these values.

1.3 Summary
To summarize,

The bios simply ignores the UEFI/EFI variables and still disables the internal screen and internal GPU!
Can someone help me, repair this, at-least force it to keep the primary display the internal, and external GPU.
Hot plugging does not work for me either.

TL;DR: Bios unlocking request, hidden menus & possible a way of forcing the internal screen and graphics to stay on with the external graphics card.

Thanks for reading & Best regards,
VelcoCity

P.S: I apologize for the colourful, and huge text. Browser is bugged for me, so I couldn't adjust it within my needs.

Hey, I own the same laptop and to get the egpu working via expresscard and mini pcie you need to use nandos DIY egpu setup 1.35 which costs 10 bucks, otherwise you are stuck using pcie 1.1 x1 instead of pcie 2.0 x1. You need to be using an Nvidia GPU to use your internal screen and disable the built in dGPU using the DIY setup but keep the iGPU on. From there you may need to mod your graphics driver to trick nvidia to think you have a laptop variant gpu (newer nvidia drivers i noticed enable this automatically on the GPUs still getting driver support since newer laptops come with full desktop variant GPUs). using the external monitor gives a huge performance boost if you have the quad core i7 dell latitude e6420

Hi, is it possible to enable hidden options in Dell Latitude E6420 BIOS? It is Phoenix BIOS. Strange because most Optiplex use AMI BIOS and new Inspiron (such as Inspiron 15 7567) use AMI BIOS.
