It appears that the two BIOS images are WAY too different for me to simply "import" a setting. If CRISIS had been compatible with your motherboard, then there would be a small chance that I could have eventually figure out. I will continue looking into it though.

Thank you for posting the results of the BIOS flash!
The setting was supposed to be hidden this time as I did not unhide any of the settings. The mod that I gave you had a lot of new modding techniques applied to it and I didn't want to go overboard. I am going to create another mod of the modified BIOS you flashed that has the hidden settings unhidden. To do this, I am going to "nop" the function that hides it.
Could you post a few pictures please (especially of the Main Menu)?
Are there any other settings that are NOT visible in the BIOS menus? I am going to take screenshots of all of the PBE emulated menus so that you can more easily compare what should show up with what does show up.

Sorry, but wecells don't have digital camera for ourcells usage, only the webcam, and it doesn't work on bootup DOS stage.
Is there some print screen program that works within DOS environment, that would be the best way to take pictures of BIOS, but somehow wecells think that such programs don't exists???
Anyway, we'll check later the menus appearances with tight sieve, and let youcells know the results...

Don't worry about the pictures. I will work on getting the PBE screenshots so that you can compare what should show up with what actually shows up.
I am somewhat stretched on time right now due to school assignments. I should have some time tomorrow to get the screenshots.

I have finished your second BIOS mod. The modified BIOS image is at the bottom of this post. This mod was performed on your previous BIOS mod and, as such, contains all of the same unlocked settings. The only difference is that the "Frequency Hi Ratio" setting should now show up.
As I stated before, I have never performed this type of mod. There is no reason why it should cause any problems, but I just wanted to let you know before you flashed your BIOS. Only one byte was modified.
Generic Warnings/Precautions:
Quote:Please remember to take proper precautions when flashing your BIOS. Even if the image is safe, the flashing process can still fail. Make sure that (if applicable) your notebook is fully charged (100%), the power plug is properly connected, and that the chance of the power going out is as minimal as possible. Do not interrupt the flashing process. If possible, it is a good idea to have a working CRISIS recovery disk when messing with your BIOS. Use the flashing instructions for your particular computer brand. DO NOT DO ANYTHING UNNECESSARY!!!
I take absolutely NO responsibility for ANY damages that may occur to you, your computer, your personal belongings, your neighbor's cat, or any other personnel or equipment as a direct or indirect result/consequence of your, or any one else's, use or misuse of any of the files that are in this archive at the present or at any time in the past or the future. You assume full responsibility for any damages or inconveniences that may occur by choosing to flash, or otherwise use or misuse, this image or any of the other files within this archive.
Have fun!
Please remember to post the results of the BIOS flash!

Ok, the BIOS flashed ok, but when in the bios settings we tried to access to the "Advanced Processor Options" that includes the modified "Frequency High Ratio" setting, the BIOS freezes.
We flashed again the earlier version, and can again access to the processor options.
So, the one bit changed, was causing the BIOS to freeze after pushing the "enter" to get into the "Advanced Processor Options" section.
We just thinked that when the "Enhanced Intel Speed Step Technology" setting is enabled, the processor iddle frequency at C1 stage changes between X6 <-> X8 multiplier, as the X6 multiplier is the iddle energy saving option of the QX9770.
We also think that this "Frequency High Ratio" is for the processors, which have the "Intel Turbo Boost Technology" option, and the QX9770 doesn't have that... so maybe it isn't available because of that good reason?
Kindest regards,
Yourcells siblingcells over here...

Hello We of Us,
I think I have come up with an idea for "importing" settings, but I will need my own test board to find a way to implement the overclocking settings importation as I WILL brick the board (and I will brick it hard) at least 20-50 times before I achieve success.
I cannot afford a test board right now though...
I will continue gathering data about how I could perform this mod until I can find a way to get a good test board with the following criteria:
1.) Overclockable desktop board.
2.) Several BIOS versions with at least one or more features removed from old versions to new versions (like the overclocking settings in your BIOS).
3.) CRISIS compatible
4.) Intel CPU
5.) Phoenix BIOS (not Phoenix Award)
6.) If possible, it would also be nice to have 2 BIOS chips on the motherboard.
With the exception of CRISIS recovery, your board is a 100% perfect match for the purpose of this and other experiments. It also has extra settings that are useful for experimentation.
