[Request] Unlock / Mod Bios of a Supermicro X8DTT-F
#1
Hi guys,

I am trying to use Amibcp to mod my bios for fan tune and underclocking options but it seams like it is locked.

I'm having the message of Amibcp saying unable to read the file.

Can you guys help me please.

Thank You for your interest, i am looking to expose some fan control operation. Do you know if it's possible ? I looking for fan operation for the fan of the motherboard but for the psu also.
The only settings i have right now are pre made parameters like : energy saving/best performance .... (for the mobo only)

PSU Fan control is not in any motherboard BIOS that I know of, that is only controlled by the PSU or it's own fan's built in PWM controller. This may be option for some servers and PSU's, but I've never heard of that before.

I checked the BIOS and only fan controls are the ones you mentioned, so all are visible (Full Speed, Performance, Balanced, Energy Saving)
There is a few settings hidden from you, but not related to fan control (Mac CPUID, A20M, Throttling Open Loop, LT Lock, HDA Controller, Patch Nvidia BIOS Bug_

Thank you. i've seen all that options. Though it was possible to add some more like fan thresold or Cpu vcore. I though Pmbus psu's were able to receive code from the bios. Never mine.
Big thank for your time.

I have another question for you guys.
I bricked two bios on these motherboard because of the modded bios by the OEM.
I managed to restore one of them with CH341 and a backup.
The process i took was to download the bios from Supermicro and update with the command given by supermicro's ami.bat :
AFUDOS.EXE %1 /P /B /N /K /R /C /L2.
This command make something wrong with the bios.
If i only run /P /B /N everything is Ok.
Can you help me understand what can be wrong with OEM Bios and /K /R /C ?
Thank you.
