Hello !
I have a Sony VGN-TZ2AWN_B notebook and I would like to unlock hidden menus and maximum memory capacity accepted. With 2 GB of memory my notebook boot, but with 4 GB does not want to boot.... I read that chipset and processor supports 4GB, but Sony limited to 2.
Sorry for my English.
Thanks in advance.
It appears that this BIOS image is already unlocked. I will look for more unlockable items, but it appears that someone already attempted an unlock on the linked BIOS. I do not know how they managed to fit the parent menus under another parent menu though... Time to investigate!
The ETA is either tomorrow or the next day.

Hello. But about the amount of memory you have found some information in the BIOS? In SMBIOS Structures I found this:
[Memory Device] (Type 17)
........................................
Total Width 0x0020 (32)bits
Data Width 0x0020 (32)bits
Size 0x0800, 2.00GB, 2.00GB
.........................................
Probably should look like to accept my 4GB of RAM:
Total Width 0x0040 (64)bits
Data Width 0x0040 (64)bits
Size 0x1000, 4.00GB, 4.00GB
If I knew how to edit the BIOS would try to make these changes .....

Hello. I found my version of BIOS with SLIC 2.1, but I think it wasn't modded. The download link does not work.
A good and complete tutorial to mod a Phoenix BIOS knows someone? Thanks in advance.

You should make a request for a SLIC mod (in the SLIC section of this website) on the BIOS image that you linked to in post #1. The BIOS from post #1 is already modified.
If you want, I can just move this thread to the SLIC Requests section.

Okay. Now I understand why you insisted on having this BIOS unlocked even though it appeared as if it were unlocked from my end. I will unhide the hidden menus and settings.
They are actually linked and supposed to appear, but there is a function that is hiding them. I will 'nop' this routine.
I won't be able to finish this tonight as I have homework to do, but I should have it done within the next 1-2 days.
