Asus M50SR Radeon HD3470 to Geforce 9500M
#1
Hi everyone
I would like to switch Radeon HD3470 to Geforce 9500M on Asus M50SR

BIOS for M50SR is here:
http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/nb/M50S...Aas205.zip

BIOS for M50SV which supports GF9500 is here:
http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/nb/M50SVas210.zip

In M50SR BIOS there is an option ROM for Radeon 3650 (1002:9591) which is not used so I want to replace it with Option ROM for GF 9500 (10DE:0405)

I extracted GF9500 Option Rom from M50SV BIOS in uncompressed for
I run MMTOOL and what do I do next? Should I delete 1002:9591 Option ROM and insert 10DE:0405 Option ROM?
Am I right?
I tested inserting this module and it is being stored at different offset - is it OK? Can I flash the resulting BIOS w/o bricking my laptop?

If anyone can do this instead of explaining dumb me how to do it - help will be much appreciated.

Hi,

Take a look to this forum: Link

You will see how you can replace the option Rom without brick your laptop.
