I purchased a Acer N281G with the hopes that I could swap the mini PCIe RealTek LAN card with a more robust WWAN card from Option (GTM671W). The interesting thing is that if I boot to Windows and plug the Option mini PCIe card in - then it works fine in Windows (drivers install, and it's visible in the device manager).
The issue is if I try to boot the system with the Option mini PCIe card inserted. I simply get a 00AB code (assuming after a POST test) in the bottom right of the screen and the system never continues to boot into the operating system. I am hoping that this something that can be fixed by opening up the BIOS and either changing the IRQs or changing the "whitelist"?!? I am obviously new to this - but would really appreciate the help and would be happy to make a donation to anyone willing to help get this working.
