Hi i just wonder if anyone would be kind enough to take a look at an issue i got that drives me insane... i have this acer netbook that bios is spinning down the harddrive with like 30s between them and then windows starts the drive...

Is there any hidden menu in this bios that would give me some control of apm?
or power management alternative would be to change the default spindown to 5min / 600sec
