I am not sure if this is the right part of the forum.. But here is what I want to see if I can get done.
I recently upgraded a CQ62-219WM from the stock Celeron 900 to a C2D T9300. Works great. Been using it for 3wks now. But what I have noticed is that the FSB/DRM ratio is wrong, and it's stuck on a 333mhz but should be running on 400mhz
I tried using SPDtool to modify the JEDEC but it always run @ 333mhz. Since the C2D is 200mhz x 4 and DDR2-6400 are 400mhz x 2 (I have two pcs of DDR2-6400 in the laptop)... I should be getting a 1:1 ratio, no? or at least a 1:2...either way... it's not doing what it suppose to do (at least from what I think).
SO! I was wondering if someone can look in to the BIOS and see if the BIOS been "locked" down to only run the memory at 333mhz and if there is a way to change it so I can get the memory bus to run a 400mhz.
Here is the link to the BIOS
The BIOS i currently have installed is
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp52501-53000/sp52604.exe
Version: F37
Thanks!
