Hello guys!
I have a Amilo Xi2550 Notebook with 2x 320GB harddrives.
I wish to install OpenIndiana (ZFS yay!) on this machine but cannot recognize the
harddrives even if i disable/delete the RAID-array in the Jmicron RAID-menu.
(allows only RAID-0, RAID-1, JBOD (concatenated))
It seems the BIOS is set default at RAID mode and cannot be changed,
and you need special RAID-drivers for this which are not available in Solaris OS'es.
I hope someone can help me with unlocking my BIOS to
be able to set the parameters regarding SATA operation mode.
I think it would be possible to unlock AHCI/IDE/SATA mode or disable RAID-mode,
because i opened the rom in Phoenix BIOS Editor and saw some references to
AHCI and IDE and more in the "Strings" section.
Didnt know how to continue from there so maybe someone here could help?
BIOS file for the xi2550:

Thank you very much!
