Hey there!
So, I've tried a lot of modded BIOSes I found using the forum search, but couldn't get rid of the annoying message past the splash screen.
My notebook returns the <701> (HP Wireless Module Not Found) error, instead of the infamous 104.
When I hit and the system starts, the new Wireless card works normally.
I've needed to swap the original Broadcom wlan card cause it freezes my Ubuntu installation. Broadcom proprietary drivers for Linux are bad as [censored].
Notebook model: Compaq Presario CQ40-611BR (Intel)
Original Wireless Card: Broadcom BCM94312HMGL
New Wireless Card: MSI/Ralink 802.11 Mini (Can't read the the card's chip, it's under a metallic cover. I'll swap it. Planning to buy an Intel Centrino Wireless Card.
BIOS File (F.67): http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp51001-51500/sp51483.exe
