Hi there!
Thanks for pimpin the Asus EEE PC. I used mine for now some years and I love it still. Now my problem:
I have an Asus 1000H and I am wondering if I can change the HDD with a SSD. I found this forum here and read a lot and finally I updated my BIOS with the 2204 Version from here:
http://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-Pr...eePC-1000H
But I still cannot find an AHCI Option. Is it hidden somewhere? (Although I can see that the BIOS changed) Is there a BIOS that will help me? Can I change my HDD to a SDD or will that not work?
Thanks for your help!
EDIT: Found it now. I must have been blind. Sorry.
Installed now a SSD from OCZTECHNOLOGY Vertex 2 240 GB with ~ 250 r/w spreed and as it seems it is a good choice. Energy consumption lower than with the original 160 GB and faster. (~ 150 Euro)
