It is difficult for me to assess whether I need to unlock BIOS options and/or remove Whitelist, so please be patient, in case this request is in wrong section.
Laptop is: HP DM1-3020us
BIOS: Insyde F.13 (http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp54001-54500/sp54026.exe)
Problem: SSD (Sandisk extreme with Sandforce controller SF-2281) NOT DETECTED
(error 3F0 at bios "DIsk not exist")
HP Support said that the specific SSD "is not in the whitelist"
I tried the NWL bios version available on the repository but that didn't go through (at boot I got a message saying "Bios update failed").
Now, I'm not sure whether the BIOS is RSA signed and if that's why it doesn't get flashed.
To summarize:
Question 1: Do I need an UNLOCKED or a NWL bios or both?
Question 2: Removing my HP Tools partition will fix the "Bios update failed" or is it something related to RSA signed
Question 3: If the BIOS is RSA signed and I get a "semi-brick", what next? Will I simply have to revert back to the original BIOS after removing the CMOS battery?
Thanks for any help
