I have a Toshiba C655 laptop. I need another Motherboard because the one I have the clip that holds the keyboard to the motherboard came completely unsoldered from the board itself.
Now I am looking at one and it's pretty cheap because it has a bios password. They said as soon as you turn it on it gives you the all black screen with the little box to enter bios password and nothing else.
My question is this, is there a way to get this off or would it be a waste of time. And I don't want to buy it when the only chance of me getting rid of the password is removing cmos battery as I know that rarely works and I am guessing they have already tried this since the MB is completely removed from laptop, but didn't ask. So would that really be the only chance of removing it is cmos battery and cross my fingers?
