Hi, I have a Gateway LT4010U (ZE7) netbook laying around, and noticed that after installing a 4GB module, it only sees 3GB in Windows, even with 64-bit Windows installed. However, in BIOS, it sees it as a 4GB module, as seen below.
Is this a BIOS issue, or a case where the chipset can only see a certain amount of memory per bank/slot? I know that the NM10 chipset can use up to 4GB of memory, but I have a feeling it's 2GB per slot max and this netbook only has 1 slot.
If this can't be done... are there any other things hidden in this BIOS? I'd be curious.
