This modification will allow EX485 users to run CPU upgrades for dual cores and quadcores for the 775 socket (65W TDP) Example upgrades are the E8400 dual core and the Q9550S. This modification has the correct micro codes and ACPI features needed to run these chips. The stock EX485 BIOS may boot some of these chips, but some ACPI features or microcode features may make it not as usable. A good example is the Intel E8400 will not boot or install Windows Server 2012 R2 Essentials without the correct micro codes provided in this BIOS.
