white list fix guide?

I'm wondering if there is a guide around for fixing the wifi whitelist for a machine. The reason i ask is...i'm looking to get a new hackintosh laptop and i really like the design of some of the hp machines. I found a
dv5-1251nr

for not a lot of money, but i don't see any bios's which are known to work for sure. I see plenty of other models which are close but not exact...Thanks.

If you post a link to the latest bios for the dv5-1251nr and the Ven Dev Subsys ID's for the card in the dv5-1251nr and also the card you want modding , we could have a look and see if we can fix it

However the onmly way you are going to know for sure is to buy it and try it!

That's about what i thought...It looks like you've had a lot of success with other dv{5,6,7} model machines...if i post the bios link for whatever model i'm looking at, would you be able to gauge anything about the probabilities from that? I don't mind paying if it's successful..

If my chances are more than 50/50 i'll just take a shot.

also, if there is a specific card i should buy that you already know the info for, or that you know has a high success rate, i'm ok with that too.

I think all DV5 models have the same F21 A BIOS (Sp45138.exe) so this should work http://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-HP...-whitelist

Try buying an Atheros AR5006X card and using this bios. However , i might have to remod it anyway as sometimes even the same cards have different Ven/Dev/Subsys ID numbers!

When creating/editing a user's whitelist, a Manager defines specific pages which are visible for each restricted user. For each page, the Manager chooses whether the user can edit or simply view the page. The Manager can optionally define an expiration date for each whitelist page entry.
