Dear *,
i have a M57P with machine type 6073AQ7, on which I resetted the BIOS. After resetting the cpu fan is running on 100% and the is no connection to the Intel QST subsystem (checked with SpeedFan - says no QST chip found or similar). Before reset I was able to control the fan via SpeedFan
I assume, that the BIOS reset has disabled the Intel AMT - there is no CTRL+P on boot time possible to enter the MEBx menu and there ist no AMT submenu in the advanced options in BIOS.
After upgrading to the latest Lenovo BIOS 2RJY64USB
http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/ds013940
one more option disappeared in the Advanced setion, so now I have only 1 of 6 possible - ASF Configuration - in the last Advanced section group.
I need a BIOS mod with minimum the AMT submenu added and enabled or AMT set on Enabled directy in the particular BIOS ROM, in order to see the CTRL+P boot option to enter and modify the MEBx
I tried it with the info here on the forum, but seems to suffer on my own lack of know-how.
Any help will be very appreciated. If you need some similar bios for comparing purposes, there are two bios versions for the M55 - AMT and non-AMT. Probably they can be "dehexed" and the diffenrence could be easy be seen.

Thanks!
