Req - Amilo XA2528 Bios - original 1.0s won't boot from SSD

I have an AMILO XA2528 with latest official Bios 1.0S.
7I hve issues with my SAMSUNG 830 SSD.

Sometimes BIOS recognizes it, somtimes not. sometimes with 256 GB (which is o.k.) sometimes with 0GB.

And Windws Installer (Installing Win 7 or 8 from Original DVD) doesn't show me a harddrive for Installation...

I can´t use a SSD with my Amilo XA2528.

Before messing with modified bios check in bios if disk settings are put to AHCI.

Update firmware on a SSD itself with bootcd and firmware from samsungs site.

In windows installation when it asks you to choose drive and you cant see it choose to install driver and install ahci controller driver for your motherboard.

If you know that ssd works for sure (and I dont see why it shouldn't) then the next step is on bios modding dudes. Good Luck

Hi!

No newer BIOS for SSD available - Samsung 830 series.

AHCI in BIOS not available.

SSD is faulty, i´ve checked with lots of PC´s and Laptop´s!

Then I guess next step is to get another SSD. I'm also on 830 series but never had problems with it. However it's not impossible for one to fail, it can happen to any hardware ever..

Yeah, i already got an other SSD.

i heard that 830´s have Problems with nvidia chipsets...
whatever... i have an other and it is working at all.
