I have a dead F301A laptop, leds light up for 1 second then off.
I am waiting for a SPI programmer in the mail (thanks BDmaster).
In the meantime I am trying the CTRL+HOME bios recovery prcedure.
I found the name to give to the file with Andy P Slic tool. It gives 2 names (X301A.211 and X301A.bin).
I tried with both, the problem is that my laptop doesn't have an HOME key.
The HOME key is shared with the left arrow as in the picture, so I thought the combination should really be CTRL + Fn + left arrow.
Anyway nothing happens. I also tried CTRL + HOME with an external USB wireless keyboard still nothing.
Only thing that happened after I removed chord and battery and kept pressing the power button for 3 minutes is that when I powered the pc up the leds remained lit, didn't turn off but still nothing happened, black screen, no USB activity.
Any clue?
