Hello,
Apologies in advance; I'm familiar with almost every area in software and hardware except BIOS modification. If this is the wrong place to post, or if I'm making an impossible request, forgive me.
I recently bought a Gigabyte GeForce GTX 750 Ti to install in my Dell Precision 690 Workstation. The card fits, my PSU supplies more than enough juice, and the fans on the card spun up but I got no signal going to my monitors.
Doing some digging around, and came across this thread: http://en.community.dell.com/support-for...t/19602160
According to one user, the GTX 750 Ti is a UEFI card. Unfortunately, the only two BIOS versions available for my 690 are A07 and A08, neither of which support UEFI.
Is there a way to mod either Dell A07 or A08 to support UEFI? It's by American Megatrends, and here are the rest of my relevant specs:
Manufacturer Dell Inc.
Model 0MY171 (Microprocessor)
Chipset Vendor Intel
Chipset Model 5000X
Chipset Revision 12
Southbridge Vendor Intel
Southbridge Model 6321ESB
Southbridge Revision 09
BIOS
Brand Dell Inc.
Version A08
Date 4/25/2008
Thank you, whomever reads this!
