BTW, BDMaster, there is usually text "This mod is for your PC only", but as I think - difference is only in boot order settings etc. - so this souldn't brick any laptop with the same BIOS version already installed from manufacturer and the same preinstalled options (that one I had access was with some sort of linux too). Can you tell why this sort of mods is personalized ?

khuchoanka I see link is still OK and downloadable, but that mod requires a little manual fix of bat file to be loaded in BIOS, so if you have not expiriences in editing scenario, command line utilities and bios recovery way in case of brick - it's better to install Win7 but not try activate for now, update from DELL if you have not latest A10 version, and then give to BDMaster your BIOS dumps to make best patch for you.
If you have problems with whole RGHost - https://www.sendspace.com/file/017n3h - the same backup utility from Serg008 from MDL forums (to download use blue button, on green you'll get only crapware).

I will reply quickly !
We write this "only for your laptop" as It's based on a Bios Backup so It contains all personal
laptop's informations (Serial, Model, Configuration, Graphix Card, Passwords, Win License, etc.)
The NVRAM Settings and Data are all saved into It (as CMOS Emulated in ROM) !
Using a such Bios Mod You will CLONE the Laptop on that from another user and if is present
something wrong (Video Card, Password, etc.) You laptop will resut Locked and unusefull !
Only way to restore is reflash Original Bios or use a Recovery Procedure and at last the
SPI PGM !
I hope You will now understand this phrase (normaly all Bios Modders are going to REMOVING
this Bios File after the user flashed !
We use these two tools to get the Bios Backups (thanks to Serg008) :

http://rghost.net/7GBZt7FVt

http://rghost.net/53128665

as 1st give to us a way to check the Eeprom Write Protect Status (Error 28 or 280) !
We studied and researched much and continuosly to learn all this . . .

BDMaster thank you for a quick reply!
I see that is NVRAM content, but couldn't know how it can harm any laptop, your answer revealed some ways how it can happen.
At least if someone use system password before do backup - it can make some time of fun how to get rid of it Smile

And I think I made a generic mod for this laptop from original flasher - that is 7zip archive mixed with hidden binary module.
To extract I just ran it and copied files from TEMP folder.
At least individual modules mod works ok, and in full flash image I see no new entries for SLIC.
Just only one thing not sure - how to run it. InsydeFlash.exe maybe )
Here is a link: http://rghost.ru/private/7kQTsgNlZ/c05aa...6a7c5c2f8a
Mirror: http://www.mediafire.com/download/7cz104...ic_mod.rar

And... just think that unpacked ones is not perfect, so checked in WinHex that isflash.bin is on offset 286BA4, so put modded bins there and it should work like original flasher.

Ok all credits go to FireCode and Sovem to discovery some usefull Data Structure
then confirmed by CodeRush !
FLASH var indicates the Region to manipulate !
Here is the Bios Region Extracted so using this one and replacing to your file You will get
a Generalized Version of Bios and modifying It You will produce a Generalized Bios Mod
to Flash by Intel FPT ! (actually We cannot bypass Insyde Dll RSA Check)
Here You go :

http://rghost.net/6W8cPgvXQ

Make the Modifies and publicate the Generalized Bios Mod !
Regards

P.S. I am sure You understood what I have done Wink

This is a file you extracted bios region from isflash.bin and added SLIC2.1 and advanced options unlock ?
I had a closer look on it in compare with modded backup file - it not contains Win8 serial, setup settings and some other bytes. Difference is just in 3 padding* files (I used phoenixtool260 to unpack).
Generic mod with flasher based on this put here: http://www.mediafire.com/download/fwek9h...ricMod.rar

Still not understand how you ripped just bios region from isflash.
I tried to use PhoenixTool and UEFITool by CodeRush, but can't find anything says "BIOS region" or just something 4Mb in size.
Please show me a correct way to do that.

Yes I saw You're clever and are following me so far Wink !!!
I will explain how to do . . .

This Structure is present in many Bioses, so Bios Region Start :

00000000000000000000000000000000D954937A68044A4481CE0BF617D890DF .................T.zh.JD........
00002A00000000005F465648FF8EFFFF48005F4C000000010100000000002A00 ..*....._FVH....H._L..........*.

The Bios Region End has this Structure :

102CF7FF000000000000000000000000BF5041EB1D0000000000000000000000A2 .,...............PA.............
04F0FFEBFECF0000000000000000009090E9DBF7000000785634120000F0FF ........................xV4.....

Then Bios Region Size for this Bios is 4096 KB so You have to add some 0xFFh
at Start Address to fill the right size ! That's It !!!
Just locate the Bios Region into the isflash.dll and Extract !
Regards

P.S. Have You tried your Bios Mod Generalized ?

Thank you! Will try this trick next time when get access to laptop with this sort of BIOS.

Not tried posted L3540 mod, because that laptop maintenance was finished and it gone to owner few days ago.
I'm sure this will work and no brick expected. So we can wait answer from khuchoanka if he tried this.
Worst thing can happen - is just lose setup settings or MSDM marker Win8 key, but if so - it's no problem to use backup and then mod it.

Thank you very much for the collections and for placing them on the mirror. I will now protect these archives in the same way as charging from this laptop!))

I really have one more task that I can not handle. In my laptop there is 4 + 2 GB of RAM but the BIOS sees only 4 in one slot. CPU-z See that there are two bars and that the total amount of RAM is 6 GB. Windows also always sees only 4 GB. RAM slots changed places, everything remains the same.
Perhaps you can tell me what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks again!))
