ASUS K52Jc
#1
Hello Bios Mods.

After a lot of web browsing and searching various sites I've come by this one, and it looks most promising regarding the issue I have.

I own an ASUS K52Jc laptop, which came with a 32-bit version of Windows 7, but had 6GB of RAM inside. For that reason, I reinstalled my windows and now use a 64-bit version to make the most out of the RAM it has.

The issue is, however, the same ram plate which worked prior to me installing the new windows now prevents the computer from booting up, even though BIOS reads the plate as there. It's the 4GB one too, so I'm now stuck with 2GB until I can solve this.

I am fairly certain the issue is in the frequencies the two plates work at, as I assume they're not the same, but the BIOS on K52Jc does not have any clocking settings whatsoever due to warranty issues.

Given my warranty expired a while ago, I'm trying to find a BIOS mod which would allow me to clock certain hardware such as my RAM to adjust their working frequencies.

If anyone could point me in the right direction or help me out on how to obtain a BIOS mod allowing it for ASUS K52Jc I'd be very thankful.

Cheers.

Results.rar from the first tool here:
https://www.sendspace.com/file/tew183

Backup from the second tool here:
https://www.sendspace.com/file/hb5cem

I tried finding AIDA64, but the two downloads I did find flooded my PC with adware which I spent the last 2 hours removing. I'll give it another go tomorrow, will update the post.

Ok friend,
AMI Aptio so You can follow this Guide and Tutorial to modify and unlock your Bios :

https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-G...EFI-Aptio4

https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-G...ios-Unlock

Here is the last AMIBCP version 4.55 :

http://rghost.net/59893020

Here is a Tutorial to modify AMI Aptio Bios :

http://forums.mydigitallife.info/threads...MSR-unlock!

Follow CodeRush Suggestions :

It's certanly not so easy for BIOSes with another menu setup, but the whole idea is the same.
I could also recommend trying AMIBCP to modify menu entries vilibility from "Default" to "USER",
if your menu setup is more complex then a setup above.

I have to flash my image on the administrator commandline using afuwinx64 bios_mod.rom /GAN . . .
Otherwise it gives me a security error (Thanks again CodeRush)

Look into your Bios find what do You want to show or modify and then reflash your Bios Mod !
