Hi all, I need help, I need to recover the bios on my laptop, and I've read through all the BIOS Recovery threads for Insyde systems and I'm having no luck performing the recovery via usb. I'm not sure if the procedure is correct for my model. the recovery threads state to press the windows keys and the B key, although I have learned for my laptop I need to press the Fn key and the R or B key. The fan does spin up on the laptop. I'm just unsure if I should have the battery pack plugged in or not, usb is currently formatted to 960MB, Bios tool recovery name was VIWZ1.bin which I have. Also need direction on which USB port I should be using.
I also have the SOIC 8 clip and CH431a programmer coming tomorrow, I have succesfully located the BIOS chips on the motherboard and am prepared to flash the chips if necessary. My questions are since there are 2 physical BIOS chips, do they both get flashed with the same exact ROM? Also which software and drivers should I use for thisĀ CH341a programmer.
Thanks!
