Acer V5-431 UEFI BIOS Upgrade

Hi everyone, I'm trying to upgrade my laptop to the newest BIOS version 2.18, it seems from what I've been reading that it's impossible to upgrade to a UEFI bios, but I don't lose anything if I ask here I assume haha. 
I'm currently running Windows 10 x64 and I was able to upgrade to 1.22 but I get an error if I try to update to the newest version
"Please update to the same type of BIOS (v1.x) ERROR 235 - OEM check failed from BIOS service!" Is there any way to bypass this error through a modded bios?
