In respect to over-clocking i don't want to push the cpu too hard but i've read it can clock in 4.5Ghz relatively stable given the the effectiveness of the cooling system. I ran Aida64 yesterday and the temp range i was getting was between 40-60C after 30 mins or so. I'm going to give Prime95 a run but have read it taxes the cpu too hard. With my i7 950 the temps were getting to 100C after 5-10mins so i shut it down.
With the latest Bios update allowing me to run the W3690 i am unable however to edit AI tweaking options such as CPU-ratio which i was able to do before with the I7 950 on the previous bios (2009). I've heard its much better to run overclocking from the Bios as opposed to software from the OS. Any ideas on how to get that tweaking functionality back?
