hello
i work at a place where we have to have 2 displays connected to every computer
in windows configuration is simple, you pick which display is dominant which is just a clone and either clone display or disable the 2nd display
the ptoblem is that our new msi b450m - a pro max boards don't have any way to select default display adapter in the bios, or am i just an idiot for nor being able to find it?
i connected 2 screens, both are kind of old
i want dvi-d (monitor) to be default and hdmi (projector) secundary but in bios there is neither screen cloning like on every older computer enabled by default, nor i can find any way to select which display output is prefered, and the default order is hdmi then dvi
i didn't even been able to find what mode dvi works as, in my 8 years old asrock there is all kinds of settings for that, but not in msi
is anyone able to help me or point me to somplae that can? , i do not want bios moding new boards because any bios update would eraser the changes
well the simplest method would be to connect monitor via adaptar to hdmi and projector to a chain of adaptars, but i kind of doubt that would survive long
