Could you please remove the whitelist in the BIOS of HP dv1340us?

BIOS Link from the vendor, https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp32501-3...p32663.exe
Note: sp32663 and sp32588 are different. sp32588 was patched previously but could not be flashed in this model.

There is 2 bios files for different platforms. You must run FLASH.exe to update from windows.
Used the same mod method as for HP DV6000 (sp48125).
