hello i face a dilema at work
i have 15 perfectly working motherboards for 8th gen intel cpu's kept in a storage for 6 years now, because we as a school replaced them in new pc's, due to being insuficient for the kind of classroom they were bought for. But we as a school had right to transfer licences to the new motherboards since they are "windows for schools" and we kind of stuck with those boards in storage kept as a coa stickers. never allowed to go online with windows ever again since they have product key in the bios.
Now when the project they were from has ended we have 2 choices.
1 irreperably damage them and scrap them
2 keep in storage forever
but if was able to clear the cd key from the bios chip we had another option, use them as teaching aids for it computer assembly class
the boards are asrock H310M-HDV with ami uefi bioses on 128mbit serial flash chips
sadly i am unable t dump the content without desoldering the chip and asrock only provides patches.
editing rom by hand replacing cd key with empty bits (FF) makes the board unbootable
what software should i use to remove oem info from those bioses entirely and keep them working? i don't want to make slic request i want to learn how to do it, and i can't seems to find any answers with google nowdays
