WLAN Whitelist Removal HP Probook 4436s
#1
I bought an Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 for my HP Probook 4436s. It is working but I am always getting an error on start up (wireless module not supported 702). When I press ENTER I can go to desktop but the WIFI is always disabled. I can enable it by clicking the WIFI icon in the task bar then pressing the WIFI button 2x in my laptop. I hope there is way to boot up without getting the error and WIFI enabled when laptop boots. BIOS is F.65. Thank you.

You could be using an external USB Wi-Fi adapter instead of replacing the internal card.

That way, you won’t get the BIOS error and can avoid issues with enabling Wi-Fi on boot.

Yes, I have that option as well. This laptop has some sentimental value to me and I am currently restoring / upgrading it. Already did the CPU, RAM and SSD upgrade. I was hoping to use a Wi-Fi card for a more cleaner look. I've read you can add in the whitelist via modding the BIOS that is why I was wondering if it can be done. Thanks for your feedback.
