Toshiba L20 PSL2XL bios update
#1
Good day masters, I would like to ask if you could help me with this bios update for Toshiba L20 PSL2XL laptop. The board has Ati RC410MB chipset which can also support ddr2 667 frequency memory but in the toshiba service manual it states that the board only supports ddr2 400/533mhz. my problem is that the bios cannot detect 2gb of ram even if i already installed 2pcs of 1gb ram, the two ram has identical specs, and the only difference are the part model. Could you help me update my bios, please..thanks..

Here's the Bios v.1.90 and 2.20

.rom   bios1.rom (Size: 27.75 KB / Downloads: 6)

.rom   bios4.rom (Size: 8 KB / Downloads: 5)

.zip   ew6_3a27.zip (Size: 414.76 KB / Downloads: 27) - This is the version 2.20

I don't handle the phoenix section but your post speak to me in odd ways.
the part numbers could be in a slight chance the problem. also even if board only supports 400/533 most memory is backwards compatiable. check the memory specs in regards to that. and since you stated that both sticks had diff. part numbers i would make sure both are backwards compatible as that might be your problem. if you still have problems i would try different memory asd there really aren't any mods we can do to fix that. As i believe that would be a memory address problem that the board manufacturer would have to fix. see if a friend has 2gigs you can borrow to test if it's your memory or the board that is the problem.

you could also try switching the sticks into different slots and combinations. And there maybe the possibility that one stick might be
faulty as well.
