Request for GA-P67A-D3-B3 updated RST ROM in BIOS
#1
I'm new here, but it seems like the best place to ask. I have been trying to set up a hardware RAID with two 3TB drives, but the old version of the Intel RST ROM (10.1...) in the bios for my MB won't support it Sad. Hopefully it is possible to include a version of this ROM that will work with the large drives.

Also, is there maybe a how to somewhere on how to do these mods yourself?

Thanks!

Sorry, but we can't do UEFI BIOS mods yet. MMTool 4.06 or higher is required and I am not aware of that being available for download anywhere. AMI apparently wants a lot of money for it, and nobody has leaked it, either. Your best bet is to try to convince Gigabyte that they should update the ROM to at least 10.5 - though they should go for 10.5.1 or 10.6.0 if they're going to the trouble now, I think. If you're lucky, they might have one of those versions in validation already. Feel free to let them know that the competition (e.g. Asus) DID update the ROM to 10.5 for us a while ago, and that you're dissatisfied that they have not... if you think it will help.

Feel free to use/link/host any BIOS I post, no credit necessary. However, this is at your own risk and I take no responsibility. Always keep a backup of a known-good BIOS. Don't flash a motherboard if you don't have a backup computer just in case.

Always use RAID mode. RAIDFix

That's too bad, thanks for the reply. I have sent them a message trying to get more information about upgrades to the bios on their end. I will let you know if anything comes of it.

For now I guess software raid it is...
