Hi there,
After some time busy on other things, I'm back to this request 'cause my HDD is dying and I need to replace it.
So, to summarize:
My problem
A new SATA-3 HDD is not recognized by BIOS, whereas it works perfectly with an external USB enclosure. I guess this has something to do with the SATA mode (AHCI vs IDE), but my current BIOS (F.3D) doesn't allow to change any option.
My request
Unlock SATA hidden options (and possibly any other locked ones). Of course, I'm OK to give $$$ :-)
BIOS info
HP's original BIOS (version F.3D): ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp43501-44000/sp43666.exe.
Details in attached file (see also previous replies for a full RW dump).
Thanks a lot!
